I never really felt Sydney drop because she was soo low to begin with, but I do remember being able to breathe better about 3-4 weeks before she came.
We got one of these for our car to go under the carseat http://www.amazon.com/Kiddopotamus-Duomat-Car-Seat-Protector/dp/B000DZS7WU
just wait till his car is filled with baby toys, extra diapers, rear facing mirror and endless baby accessories. all coolness goes out the window when you become a parent, so live it up!
I was going to get a car seat protector but the car seat safety nazi's won't install your car seat with one of those underneath because they are covered with a nylon material that can cause the carseat to slip and move more than usual in an accident.
Kiel got away with putting a towel under the seat but they said the best stuff to use the rubber mesh that you put on your kitchen cabinet shelves. It protects the leather and doesn't cause slippage.
Go figure!
my favorite one so far...he'll enjoy the baby toys and cheerios in the back seat i'm sure. (but if anything like my dad, we never got food in the car, no food in the seats and no food anywhere so we'll see where Kiel takes this:) and thank you CHP for being the wonderful safety experts they are.
