Bruce and Preslee

Yesterday, I watched Preslee so her mom could work. Bruce and Preslee play so well together, it's really cute! Here is a video of the two laughing hysterically. I guess Bruce and Pres both thought it was funny to lock Bruce in the downstairs closet.

a much needed dose of Bruceness

I smile for pictures now...

I'm addicted to all types of medication, tylenol, advil, emococillan...I love them all and constantly sign more when I see a bottle of the good stuff...My sister Rhyan is super cute, I give her kisses now and love her lots...isn't her church outfit cute?
And this is a video of me telling you what I did yesterday and some other stuff!

I'm walking

Bruce took two steps awhile ago and hasn't done much since until about two days ago. He's made amazing progress. Tho, he still crawls about 90% of the time we think he will be a full time walker by the end of August. Check it out...

Saying words

Bruce is starting to say real words and it's so cute. At the end of the video he says "up"and "baby." In the beginning he is watching the Mickey Mouse Club.

Bruce is funny

This kid keeps getting cuter and cuter by the millisecond. His personality is starting to really shine through. Tonight while eating dinner, he bit down on the spoon and I laughed because it looked really funny and it left a mess on his face. Once he realized I was laughing at him biting down on the spoon, he kept doing it and would look up at me and laugh. He is such a goof ball. Here is some video of it:

Bruce's girlfriend

Whenever Bruce sees Preslee he talks in a high pitched voice and pants, not sure why but it's really cute. I wondered if he would do the same when he saw her picture and I took some video of it...

And I think we have an American Idol fan in the making. He never watches t.v. but when he heard singing he got as close as he could possibly get dancing and banging the whole time!

Napping? Or not.

Today was stake conference so church started earlier. Unfortunately it still started during nap time, just his morning nap time instead of his afternoon. When we got home we fed him lunch and decided to put him down for a nap even though it wasn't his afternoon nap time. Forty minutes later he was still awake playing around. This is a video of his reaction when he sees his dad:

I can get up...

but I can't get down:

We play this game 50 thousand times a day. Bruce pulls himself up onto something and then screams when he wants to get down. I try to teach him to bend his knees but he just locks them on me. All the books I read said to let them scream and they will figure it out. Do you know how loud my child screams? CPS would be called in 2 minutes :D He is getting the hang of it though, he no longer does this in his crib. Progress, progress :D

Twinkle Toes

Bruce jumps on his toes, stands on his toes and walks on his toes. With his build his chance of being a ballerina sure is slim but he still likes to practice ...

Two Babies

Yesterday, I watched my friend Cambria's daughter while she tutored a few students.

Preslee is ten days younger than Bruce and if the parents had it their way we would arrange for Bruce and Preslee to get married.

As soon as Preslee got dropped off I put both babies in Bruce's crib to play. They both were laughing and playing with each other nicely. I needed to go to the garage to grab the porta-crib so I plopped Bruce down on the floor and left Preslee in the crib. Preslee stood up so she could see Bruce and Bruce stood up on the other side and looked up at her. They continued to laugh. It was very cute.

After I got the crib I let them both roam around in Bruce's room. They tackled each other, and laughed some more. Then they both raced down the hallway to tag team the very tired Montana who laid in the middle of the living room floor. Bruce yanked on his ears while Preslee pulled his tail. Both laughing the whole time.

Then it was time for naps. I put Bruce down first, after all he's mine and the easiest. Then I worked on Preslee. She took a little longer but I managed and she fell asleep in the porta-crib.

I was able to get some piece and quiet for about twenty minutes and then Preslee woke up. Five minutes after that Bruce woke up. Both woke up tired and cranky. Both wanted to be held at the same time and both did not want me holding the other one. So both screamed for ten minutes. I picked up Bruce and put him back down and told him to go back to sleep. I then picked up Preslee who was at my feet and Bruce gave me his pouty lip. He only gives me this when I hurt his feelings and of course I felt horrible. That look is heart breaking especially when I'm the cause.

Fortunately he did go back to sleep after ten minutes and I was able to entertain Preslee until her mom came back. But for a couple of minutes, I thought, how am I ever going to do this for 24 hours straight?

And then I look at this video and think, it will be hard but also fun...

Bruce and his checkup

Bruce went to the Dr. today and got his shots plus the flu shot since we are traveling.
Here are his stats: Weight: 19 lbs 12 oz; Height: 28inches long; Head: 46 cm

All in the 75 percentile!

Dr. Ngyuen said to start giving him meat so for lunch I thought I would feed him turkey. Apparently he doesn't like it. I took some video footage that is hilarious.

Getting Boogie with it

I tried to capture B's dance as much as possible but this kid stops all activity when he sees the camera. I guess he gets stage fright? Plus he needs to get better at being on all fours. It's not as good as it is in person but he's cute when he poops so who cares!

Sweet Po-tay-ta

I don't know why I was procrasinating but we finally fed Bruce solid foods (a solid food besides rice cereal) yesterday. The child LOVED them. He would grunt at me everytime I took the spoon out of his mouth. I tried to get him to smile at his first sweet potato eating experience but of course this is what I got instead...

and at last a little baby smile...
I wanted to wait until he was 6 months old but this kid has an appetite I can't keep up with and the pediatrician said it was time. We're introducing one food at a time that way we know what food causes a allergic reaction shall he have one.
and here is a video for your entertainment:

Every 5 days we'll introduce him to another food. We're doing veggies first and then fruits.

Edited video

Okay, so the video below was running a little long on some of the mini video clips and it was bugging me. So I cut them down and pieced it together the best I could. The ending is a little choppy but that will change when I get more pictures of Bruce before he turns 6 months.

so here it is, 2 minutes shorter:)

My video project

I finally realized my computer has a movie maker so I decided to make a movie of Bruce's first five months of life. I was going to finish by his half birthday but I just couldn't stop. I have to say I'm pretty stink'n proud of myself. It turned out really well. Of course there are few things that I need to cut in order to fit more of his 5 month pictures in but I have to show it off now.

Keep your eyes peeled for your baby...don't even get a drink of water you might just miss them.

So... what did you think? I'm dying to know ;)

And sorry to Amy for not having her babies in the credits. It's one am and I need to go to bed.

Bruce Squawking like a dino

I took this video a month ago when Bruce was at his "I prefer not to be alone" stage. It's pretty funny.
